How the value is calculated
The calculator groups the inventory by market name and multiplies each group by its saved Steam Community Market price in USD. Only items that can be traded and sold on the market count toward the total. Items without a matched price stay in the item count and are shown as unpriced, not as zero.
The result is an estimate of market value, not what a trading site will pay. Sites buy below market price, and Steam keeps a fee on every market sale.
Why the value differs between sites
Price sources disagree. Steam Market, Buff163, Skinport and CSFloat each have their own listings and fees, and the same skin can differ by 20-40 % between them. Rare floats, low pattern seeds, valuable stickers and Doppler phases add premiums that a market-name price cannot capture.
Use the CS2 float checker to read float, pattern seed and stickers for a single skin.
Make your inventory public
Open Steam, go to your profile, choose Edit Profile and then Privacy Settings. Set My profile and Inventory to Public. Changes can take a few minutes to apply. Steam never needs your password or Steam Guard code for a value check.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to check my inventory here?
Yes. The calculator only reads the public inventory Steam already shows to everyone. It never asks for your login, Steam Guard code, API key or a trade.
Why is my inventory shown as private?
Steam only shares inventories set to Public. Check Inventory in your privacy settings, and make sure the profile itself is public too.
Does the value include stickers and float?
No. Applied stickers, rare floats, pattern seeds and Doppler phases can make one skin worth much more than its market-name price. Those premiums are not appraised.
Why is the free check limited?
Every check reads the full inventory from Steam. The limit keeps the tool fast for everyone. Developers can check inventories in bulk with an API key.
